Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! We are excited that the school year is right around the corner and look forward to the building being filled with Falcons! We are just wrapping up our first year of hosting summer school and flipping the building to be ready for September 1! The theme for this year will be, Dream Big! We believe that setting goals and dreaming big can lead our students to great places throughout their time with us at Fox River Middle School.
The purpose for the remainder of this letter is to provide a few reminders for our incoming families and students:
Reminders & Updates
Schedules will be ready to be viewed on Skyward beginning on Wednesday, August 10. You will be able to access your classes and view the teachers that your student will have for the 2022-23 school year.
Beginning on Wednesday, August 10, students who are accompanied by an adult can walk through the building Monday-Thursday, 9:00AM-2:00PM. This will allow our incoming Falcons to become familiar with their schedules.
Lockers will not be available until the first week of school. Teachers will provide a time during the school day for students to access their lockers. The lockers have some personality and we want to be certain that teachers are available to assist students.
August 24, 2022, is the Fox River Open House from 4:30PM-6:00PM. This will be a time for families and students to meet their teachers.
All school resources should be brought with your student to the first day of school.
Sixth grade students will report to their first day of school on Thursday, September 1, 2022. Seventh and 8th grade students see the next bullet point.
Seventh and 8th grade students’ first day will be Friday, September 2, 2022. Sixth grade will also be in attendance.
All students will report to school on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
Athletics: If your student is interested in joining cross country (6th-8th grade) or girls’ basketball (7th & 8th) please click this link for information.
Picture Day: September 8, 2022. A link with an ordering form will be sent later.
