Congratulations Akira, Connie, Elyse, Jacquelyn, Kylie, Paige and Addison! Each of these talented writers worked with Mrs. Meier to enter the 2018 American Chemical Society's Earth Week Poetry Contest. The contest challenged the students to write and illustrate a poem that connected to the theme, "Dive Into Marine Chemistry." Judging for the greater Milwaukee area took place in early May, and we are excited to share that each participant won at least one award for their age group, including Most Artistic, Most Creative, Best Poem Message, and Best Overall. An extra congratulations go to our two national finalists, Akira and Connie. National judging will take place next week...good luck, girls!!!

These 8 Fox River students did a fantastic job presenting in Pewaukee today! Thanks to a grant from the Wisconsin DPI, these students were able to spend the last 10 weeks practicing leadership skills as they collaborated in a project based learning experience. The students were challenged to respond to the driving question, "Which technological innovation has had the greatest impact, and what you do you predict it will look like in the future?" This talented group of young leaders developed and engaging, entertaining, informative, hands-on presentation that explained why they believe the greatest technological innovation is...DUCT TAPE!
