Summer School

Welcome to our Summer School Program, where educational opportunities thrive during the sun-filled months! As always, summer school is open to all incoming 5K-8th grade resident students. We are excited once again to extend eligibility to non-residents, ensuring that the doors of learning remain open for everyone in and around our community. Whether you are looking to enhance your academic skills or explore new subjects, our Summer School is designed to accommodate and enrich the diverse needs of the student body. We hope you will join us!

Summer 2026 Learning Dates:
Students who will be entering grades 5K-8th grade in the fall of 2026:

Summer learning classes meet Mondays through Thursdays, June 15th to July 30th, 2026

No school on Fridays.

No school the week of June 29th
Summer Learning Vision: Our vision is to create a vibrant and engaging learning environment where every student discovers the joy of learning beyond the traditional school year. We aim to foster creativity, curiosity, and collaboration, providing a unique space for students to explore, grow, and build lasting memories.
Registering for Summer Learning:

All registration will take place online through Skyward Family Access. Courses will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Resident Enrollment begins March 9th, 2026

If your resident child is not currently enrolled in WGSD, please contact Lisa Mutter, Administrative Assistant, at 262-514-8250 or email her at mutter@waterford.k12.wi.us. She will provide you with information on how to enroll your child in summer school through New Student Online Enrollment. Once enrollment is approved, you will receive a confirmation email which includes instructions on how to register for courses.

Current open-enrolled students are eligible to register at the same time as residents.

Non-Resident Enrollment begins March 20th, 2026

Non-residents wishing to enroll their child in summer school should contact Lisa Mutter, Administrative Assistant, at 262-514-8250 or email her at mutter@waterford.k12.wi.us. She will provide you with information on how to enroll your child through New Student Online Enrollment. Once enrollment is approved, you will receive a confirmation email which will include instructions on how to register for courses.

Important to Know:

Summer School is held at the Fox River Middle School, 921 W. Main Street.

Classes are offered for incoming grades 5K-8th grade students. Current 8th-grade students looking for summer course opportunities should review the Summer School information at the Waterford Union High School website.

Register your child for the grade your child will be entering in the fall of 2026.

Students will not be able to repeat the same class across sessions (ex: Gym Games).

Students are welcome to bring a snack and bottle of water to school.

Technology will be available to students at Summer School in certain classes. Chromebooks are to remain at the school and will not be sent home with students.

Fees will need to be paid by June 14th and there are no refunds after June 16th.
