Beacon of Hope

Day 2 of National School Social Work Week! We asked our school social workers what is the most rewarding part of your job?

Mrs. Rivera-Kloeppel: There are many parts of my position that are rewarding, but working as a team with my colleagues to best support the children and families is very gratifying. Seeing the students flourish as a result is promising.

Ms. Francour: One of the most rewarding parts being a school social worker is witnessing students and families take ownership of the skills they have or have grown in to make positive choices for themselves. At the high school level, a rewarding part is seeing students, who were at risk due to a variety of factors, graduate.
